Moffitt’s Dr. Celeste Bello receives the honorary game ball during the USF women’s basketball Play4Kay cancer game.

The University of South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team took on the Rice University Owls on Feb. 7 for the Play4Kay cancer game. Mascot Rocky the Bull and the team donned pink and white uniforms and socks to show their support.

The honorary game ball was presented to Dr. Celeste Bello, USF alumna and senior member of the Malignant Hematology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. In 2008, she completed her fellowship at USF and then joined Moffitt. The Bulls fell just short to the Owls, 69-59. But it was still an incredible opportunity to raise awareness for cancer.
