Tampa Bay Sports Mascots Bring Cheer to Moffitt

Mascots and cheerleaders for Tampa Bay’s sports teams brought cheer to everyone at Moffitt Cancer Center.

You don’t see this every day. Captain Fear, ThunderBug, Raymond and Pete the Pelican invaded the halls of Moffitt Cancer Center for the annual Mascots at Moffitt Day.

Despite representing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Rowdies and the University of South Florida Bulls, these cute characters and cheerleaders united for one day to spread cheer to patients at Moffitt.

After visiting patients, the fab four jumped in to the “Cha Cha Slide” for a flash mob. Fighting cancer is a team effort and Team Tampa Bay stepped up to show its support.
