To close out Breast Cancer Awareness Month, middle school students from Brandon Academy presented a check to Moffitt Cancer Center’s Breast Clinic.

In October, student council members held a fundraiser where students and faculty had the option to wear pink shirts to school by contributing a dollar or more. Collectively, they raised $350.

After learning that one of their fellow peers had a sibling receiving treatment at the cancer center, the group unanimously decided to allocate the funds raised to Moffitt.

During the check presentation, the students got the chance to meet with a few members of the breast department and tour the clinic.
